Israeli Cookery Evening

If I get invited to a promotion by Destination Representation I know I will have a great evening. Tonight we joined Debbie, Andrew, Israeli tourist office and 49 travel agents including a few of us from Travel Counsellors.

This promotion was particularly interesting , and therefore very popular. We were invited to L’Atelier des Chefs in Wigmore Street to cook our own Israeli meals under instruction from four different chefs each manning their respective stations around the kitchen area

After tasting some excellent Israeli wines, we had a short presentation about Israel, a small but culturally very diverse country with high quality accommodation and cuisine. The landscape, architecture and religious mix make Israel a very exciting country to visit from the designer shops and nightlife of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the crossroads of all religions, Galilee, The Dead Sea, The Negev Desert and last but not least, the lovely golden sands of Eilat in the extreme south.

We were shown how to roll our own sushi, sear yellow fin tuna with kohl rabi and fennel salad, salmon skewers, goats cheese in filo parcels, meat with couscous and for dessert, fresh figs, dates in filo parcels and chocolate mousse
