After a chaotic, colour coded group breakfast, we were on our way to the Vatican. It was far less crowded than last time I was here but still a very long and wet queue to st.Peters Basilica and Vatican museum. The opportunists were out in force sellng ponchos and umbrellas.
The interior was truly stunning, a must see and surprisingly you are allowed to take photographs.
From there we went to make a wish in the Trevi and then choose from the huge array of pizzerias for lunch.
From there to the Colosseum which is pretty stunning from the outside even with the scaffolding around it to preserve it from further decay. It is even more amazing inside.
