Thistle Royal Trafalgar

Tonight, not only was I the first to arrive, I was also the only Travel Counsellor but that wasn’t a problem as the hosts looked after me well and I found plenty of people to talk to

We all had plenty to eat and drink and the seafood was wonderful, huge prawns, oysters, cockles and mussels in white wine

Thistle have 32 properties in the UK 17 in London in cluding the one at Heathrow

The elite 4 star plus product, Guoman, have 5 hotels in London and there is also one in Shanghai

Thistle Royal Trafalgar and nearby Thistle Piccadilly are both being refurbished but Royal Trafalgar is now almost finished. We had a tour of the hotel and it is now deservedly a 4 star. The rooms are painted mushroom with new soft furnishings throughout, flat screen TV and the bathrooms have a contemporary look with new sink, tiling, walk in rain showers and Elemis toiletries. Both hotels are well situated near Piccadilly and Leicester Square, very convenient for the theatre, restaurants and transport

The restaurant in the hotel has buffet breakfast and unusually for London, an outside area. There is also a large, cosy lounge area and a business area and a nice bar where the promotion was held

We had a Wii Bowling contest and a canape creation contest. The winner was created in a shot glass and my Going Fishing  effort came 3rd. This is a nice idea for a childrens party as well

We had a really enjoyable evening and I can recommend this well located newly refurbished hotel

If you are visiting London and want a convenient mid range hotel please give me a call on 0845 058 7458 to book
