Cox and kings chile evening

There were a lot of Travel Counsellors amongst the 50 agents that attended the Chilean themed evening at the Private Members Club in Adam Street off the Strand.

The venue is surprisingly cavernous as it looks so small from outside.

We started off with Anita from Wines of Chile who is a promoter of Chilean Wines and an expert in Chile having visited there on several occasions

We sampled some lovely White Sauvignon followed by a lovely rich red wine and then Anita told us about the wine regions and the unique terrain and climate which lends itself to wine growing

Chile is unique in many ways but probably it’s most distinguishing feature is it’s shape 2700 miles long and only 110 miles wide at its widest point stretching from it’s borders with Bolivia and Peru in the north down to frozen Patagonia in the south.

Cox & Kings do an exciting tour called Splendours of Chile including Santiago, Atacama desert, Puerto varas, lake district, Patagonia, Torres del Paine and Punta Arenas which showcases Chile’s extreme landscapes and culture. The price has been held for a third year so this extremely good value considering what Cox & Kings include and the attention to detail. One selling point for this tour is the stay in Torres del Paine itself. Prices for the 15 day tour start at £3395 per person
