Saint Lucia Tourist Board Travel Agent Evening

St. Lucia has come a long way in the last few years with daily flights on British Airways and several times a week with Virgin Atlantic. I was lucky enough to revisit last year and was amazed how much had changed since my last visit, improved infrastructure and nearly all the hotels have been fully refurbished and there are many new ones

I went to Carbon in Marble Arch to learn more about the destination and all the new developments

St Lucia has some lovely beaches but it also has the world’s only drive in volcano and The Pitons in the south. There are many possible activities including scuba diving, snuba, golf, hiking, zip wiring and canopy tours. As St.Lucia has two airports, it is possible to combine a few days in the north and a few days in the south of the island or easily with other Caribbean islands

You can go to St Lucia for a honeymoon or romance, an affordable break, a family holiday, activities, golf, diving, nature and eco tourism, unashamed luxury, quirky and boutique hotels, villas and self catering, it’s all there in St.Lucia, so can you think of a reason not to go?

There were many hotels represented and the links are below to show the diversity of accommodation

North of the island is the popular and lively Rodney Bay area which has many bars and restaurants as well as a brand new shopping mall. Castries, the capital is only a short taxi ride away Rodney Bay is 90 minutes from the main Hewanorra airport but very close to Vigie the domestic airport. A lot of the more affordable hotels are situated around Rodney Bay such as Bay Gardens mid range Rex Resorts and Coco Palm and high end The Landings

South of the island are the famous Pitons and this is only a short drive from the airport and close to Soufriere the old capital. Generally this area is more popular with honeymooners and couples as the area is quieter because it is more inaccessible and exclusive with hotels such as Jade Mountain

There is a reasonably priced  all inclusive family hotel Coconut Bay which has a fabulous kids club, a separate area for adults and it is only 5 minutes from the airport

Other hotels that are suitable for families on the island are Almond Morgan Bay  and Smugglers Cove

For total relaxation and spa choose The Body Holiday, Cap MaisonStonefield Estate, Ti Kaye, Calabash Cove, or Jalousie Plantation

For pampering, great cuisine  and a room with a view Windjammer Landing or for a spectacular view of the Pitons, Anse Chastanet, Jade Mountain or Ladera

For all inclusive couples Sandals, Eastwinds and Rendezvous
